Description Description

Delphine Dress has a feminine silhouette with an empire cut just below the chest. It is made in a beautiful leftover schiffli cotton and features wide sleeves gathered at the openings with a small cuff. The dress has a deep V-neckline and is beautifully decorated with lace tapes placed along the cutlines and edges. An embroidered ‘Sissel’ signature is placed at the bottom hem as a delicate final touch.

One way is to use leftover fabrics found in markets and in our supplier’s stockrooms, also called ‘deadstock fabrics’. As part of our values, we cherish the idea of using different kinds of existing leftover fabrics instead of producing new materials. Our styles made in the leftover fabrics will always be limited edition, due to the limited fabric amount that is left.

Sissel Edelbo is a Danish clothing brand established in 2004 by two friends, Jeanne Sissel Thomsen and Christina Edelbo Petersen. The brand offers a unique blend of Scandinavian minimalism and Indian vintage fabrics, creating a distinctive and sustainable fashion line. Sissel Edelbo is dedicated to reducing waste and minimizing their carbon footprint by using upcycled materials in several of their collections. The garments are made from vintage saris previously worn by Indian women. Therefore, Sissel Edelbo's motto is "FROM A WOMAN TO ANOTHER." The clothes may have minor imperfections - a perfect imperfection that testifies to the garment's previous life.
